Happy New Year

                                                I always used to wonder why people make such a fuss about new year. Is it not just any other day? It is and it is not. It is because it is like any other day full of life and possibilities. It is like any other day as special as it is or as ordinary as it can be. 

                                               January 1st is not like any other day because we witness it. Yes we witness the passing of every minute if not second as the calendar changes to a new year, new date. We are present witnessing it, that is what makes it special.

                                               Witnessing a moment makes it special. As that is when we realize how rare, how unique, how beautiful that moment is. First rain of the season, first kiss, snow fall, favorite cricketer scoring century etc... all these are special because we witness it. 

                                               Happy new year everyone. May we have more moments this year and every year which are witnessed. Witnessed moments are cherished moments.:-)
